AZ MFX Color — MIDI Plugin for Cakewalk SONAR
Developer: azslow.com
AZ MFX Color is a lightweight MIDI effect designed to make complex MIDI parts easier to play, edit, and understand in Cakewalk SONAR. It classifies incoming notes by musical criteria—such as pitch classes, key ranges, or velocity bands—and assigns them to defined zones or MIDI channels. That lets you create practical splits and layers, separate articulations or drum areas, and highlight parts so they’re immediately clear in SONAR’s Piano Roll View when using channel- or velocity-based coloring.
The plugin works in real time and is completely non-destructive, so you can insert it in a track’s MIDI FX bin, set up your mapping rules, and play. Your performance is routed and organized on the fly, helping you visualize arrangements, tighten your workflow, and keep edits clean without altering the original clips.
AZ MFX Color is built specifically for SONAR’s MFX architecture and integrates smoothly into both live and studio setups. Documentation and downloads are available at azslow.com.
